A lot is already known about the most famous music studio in the world and the impact this hallowed location has had on global culture. This is not a re-telling of that story. 

And although it shares a time and place with the band that made the studio globally famous, our show is also not about them. The story does occasionally and momentarily cross paths with them, and with some other legendary cultural figures, such as Pink Floyd, but ultimately they are background figures to an original and unknown story. That story concerns lesser known characters living in the same period. It is an alternate history - partly unearthed, partly imagined - a story which has never been told before.

And though the period setting offers a brilliant dramatic backdrop, this is not a simple swinging nostalgia trip, but instead the perfect milieu to examine the nature of creativity and give us a window into contemporary issues about the meaning of human creativity, and its relationship to technology.

Our story is everyday yet otherworldly, with a great mystery at its beating heart, but it begins with a girl who misses her father and tries to connect with him using some old tapes.

From its apparently small beginnings, the narrative is sweeping in breadth and ambition - plotted out over five seasons, with each season covering roughly a two year period across the Sixties.

While it is a truly British show in place and time, it has themes with universal resonance.
